What can you say about what happened this past few weeks?

In your own little ways, how can you help the victims of Typhoon Ondoy?

  1. I can say that , what had happened last week was an eye opener for all of us,that we should really take care of our mother nature...the government should really stop those illegal loggers. And in times of need we have to help or support foundations like Kapuso or sagip kapamilya whose helping our affected kababayans.
In my own way, I offer prayers , to give more strenghts those were affected, because prayer still the best option.Let us all be strong and trust God.

  2. Our country was recently hit by a typhoon Ondoy and the entire nation is devastated by the havoc it created. Metro Manila and some affected portions in Luzon were man-height flooded causing vehicles and others properties to be swept off. Houses were indeed vacated while people had stayed on their house roofs to remain safe. And, now while the country is relieving the victims through temporary housing and other basic needs, another super typhoon is within our country's area of responsibility.

Natural disaster is unpredictable but we can always be ready. If mankind had only disposed their garbages well, did not irresponsibly cut trees or plan only the drainage system well, the damages of the typhoon could have been avoided.

In my own little way, i will donate some clothes and groceries to the relief center. I am willing to be a volunteer in sagip center to help.

  3. What happened last week was really heartbreaking. I can't imagine all those families who have lost their shelters, valuables and even love ones. I can visualize those children like me have gone through during the typhoon. It's really a pity that our government was not well-equipped and prepared for this kind of occurances.

After the typhoon my family and I prayed and thanked God that no one among my family is harmed. And we also prayed for the families that have been affected by the typhoon.

In my own little way how can i help?
My mom asked me that she will giveaway some of my old clothes to victims of Ondoy. I volunteered to come with her and we went to Dra. Jimenez (mother of Kaye Angeline Jimenez) house to drop our donations for Caritas and then we went to St. Mary's SMAPA Office to donate also a box of noodles. As for me, volunteering to come with my mom and helping my her carry our donations is my own little way to help the victims of Ondoy.

It was really an eye opener for all of us. specially to those people who really experienced the tragedy. Alot of people were trapped to the roof of their houses waiting for rescue. We really didn't expected that the typhoon was this worst.

  5. What was happened last week was really terrifying. It was my first time to experience this kind of calamity. I was felt so sad most especially to those families who were really affected by the typhoon Ondoy.

It was an opening realization to all of us. For me it not only ondoys fault. We are the caretaker of this place, given to us by God but we tend to forget this duty. Instead we over use our resources that really affects the mother earth. And now we are paying for our own fault. When we will realize our mistakes.

After seeing all what happened, my family and I prayed together. We thank God for our safety but most of all we prayed for all the people who was affected by the Typhoon.

We gathered all of my old clothes and toys and my tito went to GMA kapuso foundation and he donated everthing. I will just continue praying for fast recovery and hopefully this would not happen again.

  10. The disaster that the recent typhoons in the country made was a nightmare! almost all peopl especially in the northern luzon experience a week long problem caused by a 1 day storm. But still, experiencing that kind of situation may open our eyes on what we need to do to prevent another calamity like this. Some says that it is the carelessness of the government but the main reason of extreme flooding is garbage. Garbage that are thrown all around in the streets. All of this trashes are from people. This just says that it is the people's fault and the government's. What we need to do right now is to follow measures like the 3r's and the segregation. While we do this actions, let us not forget to pray to God because all of our efforts wouldn't have been a success without God's guidance. :)
